How It Works
Free On-Site Consultation
We start with a free consultation at your premises. We look at the space, talk through what you want to achieve and discuss size, position, design and budget. We ask about access, electrical supply and what the space is used for. There is no obligation at this stage.
Proposal and Contract Agreement
We put together a full proposal covering the installation and the ongoing maintenance contract. The proposal sets out exactly what is included, how often we visit, what each visit covers and what the monthly cost is. Everything is fixed so there are no surprises later.
Installation
Once you are happy to proceed we carry out the full installation. We handle all the equipment, plumbing where required, electrical connections and the initial water preparation and cycling. We introduce livestock once the tank is ready and stable and confirm everything is running correctly before we leave.
Ongoing Managed Maintenance
Maintenance visits run on the schedule set out in your contract. We arrive, carry out the full service and send you a written report afterwards. If we notice anything that needs attention between visits we contact you directly. At the end of each contract year we carry out a full equipment review.

Commercial aquarium contracts are priced based on the size of the tank, the complexity of the setup, the frequency of maintenance visits and whether the installation is included in the arrangement. Monthly maintenance contracts for commercial premises typically start from £120 per month for smaller setups. Larger tanks, marine and reef installations, and setups requiring weekly visits are priced individually. Full installation costs vary depending on the size of the tank, the cabinet and surround, the filtration system and the livestock selected. We provide a full written quote after the initial site visit. All contract pricing is fixed for the term of the agreement. We do not add call-out charges for routine visits or apply price increases mid-contract without notice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need to do anything to look after the aquarium between your visits?
Very little. We set up an automatic top-off system to maintain the water level between visits, and the filtration runs continuously without any intervention needed from your team. We ask that you let us know promptly if you notice anything unusual, such as a fish that looks unwell or a piece of equipment that has stopped working. Outside of that, the tank is fully managed by us. Your staff do not need any aquarium knowledge to have one on site.
What happens if a fish dies between visits?
Livestock replacement is included in our commercial maintenance contracts. If a fish dies between scheduled visits we replace it at the next appointment at no additional cost. We also ask that you contact us as soon as you notice, because in some cases a fish that has died needs to be removed quickly to avoid affecting water quality. We will advise you on what to do in the meantime.
Can you install an aquarium in a listed building or a premises with restricted access?
We have carried out installations in a range of commercial premises with access restrictions, tight doorways, listed building considerations and structural limitations. We assess all of this during the initial site visit and advise on what is practical before any work is agreed. In most cases there is a workable solution. Where there are genuine constraints we will tell you honestly rather than commit to something that cannot be delivered properly.
Can you install a marine or reef aquarium in a commercial premises?
Yes. We install and maintain marine and reef aquariums in commercial settings. These require a higher level of care and more frequent maintenance visits than freshwater systems, and this is reflected in the contract pricing. A well-designed marine tank in a restaurant, hotel or premium office makes a strong visual impression and we have the experience to keep it looking that way consistently.
How long does the installation take?
A standard freshwater installation in a commercial premises typically takes between half a day and a full day depending on the size of the tank and the complexity of the setup. Marine installations take longer because of the additional equipment involved. We work around your business hours and can carry out installations in the evening or at weekends where that is more practical. The tank then needs a period of cycling before livestock is introduced, which we manage and monitor.
