About This Service
Aquarium Hire and Rental
Not every aquarium needs to be a permanent fixture. Sometimes a business wants a stunning display for a product launch or a corporate event. A film production needs a live aquarium on set for a shoot. A showroom or pop-up is open for three months and wants something that creates an impression while it runs. A hotel is refurbishing and wants an aquarium in the lobby while they decide whether to make it permanent. AquariumCraft offers aquarium hire and rental across London and North West London for exactly these kinds of situations. We supply the tank, the cabinet, the fish, the equipment and the ongoing maintenance for the duration of the hire. You do not buy anything, you do not maintain anything and when the hire period ends we come and collect everything. The service is fully managed from start to finish. We deliver and install, we visit regularly to keep the tank in excellent condition and we remove everything cleanly at the end. Whatever the space looks like when we leave on the last day, it will look exactly the same as it did before we arrived. We hire freshwater tropical displays, cold water tanks, planted aquascapes and, for longer term hires, marine setups. Tank sizes range from compact desktop displays to large floor-standing centrepieces. If you have a specific size or style in mind, get in touch and we will tell you what is available. This is an underserved service across London and one of the few genuinely flexible aquarium options available. If you are in North West London or the wider London area and you want an aquarium without the commitment of ownership, call us.

How It Works
Tell Us What You Need
Get in touch with details about the hire. Tell us about the space, how long you need the aquarium for, what the setting is and whether you have a size or style preference. We ask about access, floor surface and electrical supply and then put together a hire proposal for you.
We Agree the Hire Terms
The proposal covers the tank options available for your requirements, the maintenance schedule for the hire period and the total cost broken down clearly. Once you are happy we confirm the booking and arrange delivery and installation at a time that suits you.
Delivery, Installation and Handover
We deliver and install everything in a single visit. We set up the tank, run the equipment, introduce the fish and make sure everything is fully running before we leave. You do not need to arrange or manage anything. The tank is handed over in perfect condition.
Maintenance Throughout and Clean Collection
Maintenance visits run throughout the hire on the agreed schedule. At the end of the hire period we arrange a collection visit. We remove everything cleanly and carefully and leave the space exactly as it was found. No damage, no mess and nothing left behind.
Transparent Pricing
Simple, Fixed Pricing. No Hidden Charges.
Aquarium hire pricing depends on the size of the tank, the duration of the hire, the type of setup and the frequency of maintenance visits required. Short term event hires, typically up to 7 days, start from £250 for a compact tropical display including delivery, installation, livestock and collection. Larger tanks and longer event hires are priced individually. Longer term commercial hires, from one month upwards, are priced on a monthly basis. A standard freshwater display on a monthly hire basis typically starts from £180 per month all-inclusive. This covers the tank, equipment, livestock, all maintenance visits and collection at the end of the agreement. Marine setups and custom aquascapes for long term hire are available at a higher rate reflecting the additional care and equipment involved. We provide a full written quote for every hire. Nothing is added after the agreement is signed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the hire price?
Everything needed to run the aquarium is included. The tank, cabinet, filter, heater, lighting, pump, substrate, décor, plants and all livestock. Delivery, installation and collection are included. Regular maintenance visits for the duration of the hire are included. Emergency call-out cover is included. You do not need to buy, supply or arrange anything separately. The only thing we ask for is access to a standard electrical socket and a stable surface or floor area appropriate for the size of the tank.
How long is the minimum hire period?
We offer hire from a single day for events through to open-ended rolling monthly arrangements for commercial premises. There is no fixed minimum for event hires. For commercial and office hires we typically ask for a minimum of one month. If you have a specific timeframe in mind that does not fit neatly into these categories, tell us what you need and we will work out whether we can accommodate it.
Can you deliver and set up in time for a same-day or next-day event?
For short notice event hires we do our best to accommodate urgent requests, but we cannot guarantee availability without advance notice. A live aquarium with fish cannot be set up in an hour. We need enough time to source the livestock if needed, transport everything safely and allow the tank to settle before the event begins. For event hires we recommend contacting us at least a week in advance where possible. The more notice you give us, the more options we have available.
What happens if a fish dies during the hire period?
Livestock loss during a hire is managed by us as part of the service. If a fish dies between maintenance visits, contact us and we will advise on what to do immediately and arrange a replacement at the next visit or sooner if the situation requires it. We do not charge extra for livestock replacement during a hire that is being maintained on schedule. The health of the tank and the appearance of the display are our responsibility for the duration of the agreement.
Can you supply a marine aquarium for hire?
Yes, for longer term hires of one month or more. Marine tanks require more time to establish and more frequent maintenance than freshwater setups, which makes them unsuitable for very short event hires. For commercial hires where the tank will be in place for several months, a marine display is possible and we can discuss what is available and what the maintenance schedule would look like. Get in touch with your requirements and timeline and we will advise on whether a marine hire is feasible for your situation.
